OUR HISTORY
Gold of Sweden is a web-based company founded in 2016. We sell exclusively our own collections of sustainable gold and diamond rings with the aim of offering the highest quality at the best possible price. All our rings are made in Sweden by highly skilled craftsmen using recycled gold. Thanks to our extensive industry experience and well-established network, we can offer a wide range of affordable diamonds and we also have extensive experience in realising our customers' own design ideas.
One of the company's founders, Johan Odén, is a third-generation goldsmith and still works side by side with his father and aunt at Borås Guldsmedja. The workshop was founded by Johan's grandfather in 1963 and has since grown into a well-established business with an excellent reputation among its customers. Johan has worked in the family business for over 20 years and, after taking over as owner a few years ago, the idea of reaching out to a larger customer base began to take shape. The new company, Gold of Sweden, was formed.
The team behind Gold of Sweden has since grown, and we are constantly working to develop together with our customers. We are proud of our genuine craftsmanship, local manufacturing and high quality. Our goal is to offer every customer a personalised service and the best possible shopping experience.
SUSTAINABLE CRAFTSMANSHIP WITHOUT MIDDLEMEN
We want to contribute to conscious choices that feel right not only in the moment but also in the future. A ring from Gold of Sweden has a design and quality that lasts a lifetime and, in the best case, is passed down from generation to generation. That is sustainability for us.
Our rings are never mass-produced but are made exclusively to order by our skilled goldsmiths. A combination of traditional craftsmanship and the latest technology in the industry gives us great opportunities to meet every customer's wishes.
We only use recycled gold, thereby contributing to reducing global demand for newly mined gold and the strain this places on the environment. We are also proud to offer lab-grown diamonds as an alternative to stones mined from the earth's crust, with the strain this inevitably places on the earth's resources. Our natural diamonds are, of course, guaranteed conflict-free.
We have chosen not to use retailers, but instead sell our rings directly to you in our online store. This cuts out unnecessary middlemen and allows us to offer high quality at very competitive prices. If you would like to see our rings in person, you are welcome to order a free home loan and try some of the rings at home at your leisure before making your decision. All ring models are also available as a display collection at Guldsmedjan in Borås, where we also have our workshop. If you wish, you can also order your ring on site and/or choose to pick up your delivery in the shop.
