Gold of Sweden offers a wide range of diamond rings in various designs. All our rings are sustainably manufactured in Sweden from 100% recycled gold, and you can choose whether you want natural or lab-grown diamonds in your ring. If you can't find the perfect diamond ring in our collection, you can also design your own engagement ring with us!
Should I choose a lab-grown or natural diamond for my ring?
Whether you prefer natural or lab-grown diamonds is very individual. Many people feel that the appeal of a diamond lies in the fact that it was formed under the earth's crust millions of years ago and therefore choose a natural diamond.
Others feel it is most important to make as sustainable a choice as possible, which makes lab-grown diamonds an interesting alternative with a low carbon footprint and minimal impact on our environment. In terms of price, lab-grown diamonds are 20-50% lower than natural diamonds, which of course can also influence your choice!
How do I choose the right diamond for my diamond ring?
Whether you choose to buy one of our standard diamonds or request a quote for a diamond of a different quality, you can rest assured that we have selected your diamond with care and experience.
Feel free to ask us about the price of a diamond that is just below one of the even carat weights, e.g. 0.95-0.99 Ct, if you want a 1.00 Ct diamond. This can be a good way to get a lower price!
Which gold colour should I choose?
Our rings are made from 100% recycled 18K gold. We offer red gold, white gold and rose gold as standard, but if you would like a diamond ring in a different colour, such as yellow gold, we can of course arrange this. One advantage of choosing red gold or rose gold is that you can go down a grade or two in the diamond colour, e.g. I-J, as the diamond will still reflect the colour of the gold and you won't notice if the diamond has a warmer tone. However, if you want the diamond to appear colourless in a white gold ring, we do not recommend a colour grade lower than H, which is our standard.
Can I design my own diamond ring?
We are happy to help you realise your design idea. Perhaps you have seen a picture of a diamond ring that you like, or maybe you want to modify one of the models in our collection. Please contact us for a free quote!
Can I use my own gold to pay for my ring?
You are welcome to send in your own gold for recycling for diamond rings, and you will also receive a higher price per gram for the amount of gold that corresponds to the weight of your new ring. In practice, this means that using your own gold when purchasing new rings from us can make a big difference in price. This is our way of encouraging and rewarding the desire to recycle and, together with us, save the earth's resources.
Do I need to maintain my diamond ring?
Our rings are made to last a lifetime, but a diamond ring should always be handled with care and should not be worn in situations where it risks being scratched or worn abnormally, such as when gardening, washing dishes, cleaning or exercising. Rings with diamonds should be brought in at least once a year for a check of the claws and settings to ensure that all stones are secure and will not come loose due to wear and tear or the diamond ring being knocked or similar.
